Grand Canyon, 4th time. w/Matt

4th trip at the Grand Canyon.  The previous year having issues with heat exhaustion hoping to redeem myself and make it a better trip.  Better planing, hiking Timp 3 times this year, better energy drinks.
Matt and I making great time with no issue.  Starting 2 hours before sun up on the North rim.  Phantom Ranch at 11am, its about 90 degrees.  Coming out of the canyon on the South side I start slowing down.  No major issues until an hour later after we are out of the canyon. Start to feel light headed,  I did not drink enough water again.   I guess I'm going to need to force the water down.

Timpanogos. First time with TERT.

This is my first year with TERT, Timpanogos Emergency Response Team.  This is also my third time on Timp this year.  The first time with my Daughter Steph having a great time with this being her first time on Timp.  She is in very good shape and was having a time trying to keep up with her.  She was having a good time visiting with everyone on the trail.  The second time on my own.

The last trip on Timp went with the TERT team signed up as a extra.  New with Ham radio, no background with medical.  Spending the night on Friday, returning back to cars Saturday evening.  No issues on the trail.  This was also the last weekend of the year for TERT on Timp for this season.

Idaho Sawtooth 3 night backbacking. w/Matt and Brandon

Return to the Idaho Sawtooths backpacking with some friends from work, Matt and Brandon.  I've been backpacking with them before on many trips noting they can out hike me.

Trip taking us starting at the Hell roaring TH and stopping at first night at Hell roaring.  Second night going to Edna lake.   I still cannot catch any fish, I should trade my fishing pole in for a sling shot.   3rd night found a spot next to to Alice lake.  This drainage does not permit any fire.  It was like a city with all of the people around the lake also camping and trying to find a place to stay.

Last day out was a long one traveling on a old trial that was a challenge to continue to locate as we are working our way back the cars.  Last couple of miles we ended up hitching a ride.

Family Campout in Payson canyon.

Traveled up the canyon a few days before with Steve to pitch some tents to reserve the area in the Payson canyon Nebo loop.

Rented RV in Spanish fork driving it to the campsite after signing papers.  The Rav was packed towing a small 5X8 trailer.  Setup extra tents, shades, cooking area and extra porta potty area.  Went out for fishing, knife throwing, bow and arrow shooting.

Zion Subway, w/Wade and his family

Friend of mine from work had extra passes and was lucky enough going with him and his family.  Thanks Wade for a great trip and the invite.  Arrived that night for open camping spending the night prior to the Subway and again before the return home.

The events going down the subway.  Before descending into the canyon, we lost someone in our party for a couple of hours.  Our main group was off trial and the last person was a minute behind staying on trial and ended up ahead of us on the trail.  We also ending up taking extra hours getting out of the canyon getting out by dark.   It was a great time experience.
